The coil binding/bump stops unfortunately kind of killed Jeff's career. I wish he was still racing. NASCAR is in a bad bad way these days. They don't know what the heck they are doing with the cars. It's a damn shame.

Thanks so much for this race, I for one really appreciate it.

I have a strong feeling that this year's Coca-Cola 600 will be when Chase Elliott gets his first Cup win, 22 years to the day Gordon got his first since this year's 600 will be run on May 29th as well. Race is notorious for first-time winners, and if he should do so if he doesn't win Richmond, Talladega, Kansas, or Dover it will be the 94th win for a car numbered 24 (Jeff is the only driver to win in a 24 car winning 93 times), and we all know that Bill drove the #94 from 1995-2000.

What I really love is that when a candy bar wrapper flutters across the track NASCAR doesn't throw a caution..Let them race!

Rusty Wallace.. Man he would have had 4 of these 600s if not for 24. Twice he had the best car and Gordon somehow won with 2 tires as opposed to Rusty's 4. Then once Rusty tried the 2 and Gordon got the 4 and 24 still beat him. The 24 era was just a bad time for Rusty. Took away many wins.
@sevendst197 жыл бұрын
Rusty's crew could never figure out pit strategy, he literally would have like 10 more wins if not for making the wrong calls every single time.

A great moment in NASCAR history. It's curious to me that Kenny Wallace always name drops Richard Petty everytime they cut to him. Also Richard Petty was a lackluster color commentator.

Ken Squier has a decent voice, but it's a shame that THE best booth in NASCAR wasn't calling this race: Jenkins/Parsons/Jarrett
@quasimoto76624 жыл бұрын
zlinedavid Ken depends on other voices to be entertaining. No offense to King Richard, but he wasn’t the best announcer. Not terrible but not great either. When paired with someone like David Hobbes or Gentleman Ned, he’s really entertaining. But here, he’s a bit too calm and mundane for my liking.

Aminals The first couple of years of this race finishing under the lights had several start time changes. The 1993 race started at 3:30 but I think this race may have started around 5:30. The current start time is 6:15

You can tell jeff gordon has lost his steam for racing these past few years. Here he was full of energy. Jeff will retire in a couple of years if he doesnt start winning a lot.
@vectoze551610 жыл бұрын
He has one win, leading the points, and he worst (beside his wreck at Dega) was 13th.. Doesn't seem like he lost his steam at all.
