93-94 are using actual oil pressure sending units whereas 95-97 use a dummy unit. They did that as a cost cutting move. It is the same thing with the 89-94 Miata. You could probably use a universal sending unit of the same thread or open up yours and make sure that the soldering and contact points are fine. I need to do this on mine as well.
