1994 Honda Clutch safety switch stop pad installation / pedal removal

Your video title and description do not say what Honda model you worked on which would be interesting to know, because I just replaced the stop pads on my 1994 Honda Accord (USA version) without having to remove any pedals. Just press down the pedals, hold them in place with a piece of wood wedged against the seat and the stop pads popped right in.

Was that in the clutch? There are 2 switches on my clutch and the very top one on mine broke apart. I don’t think I’ll be able to install it without removing the whole assembly. Mine is a 2006 Accord.

@@davidg4781 ..... I replaced the stop pads on the brake and clutch pedals without having to remove any pedals. But that is on my 1994 Accord and I only have one switch on each clutch and brake. It is possible that the clutch pedal assembly design has changed and your 2006 clutch assembly might be different than mine.

I have 1997 Honda Civic. The black pointy stopper broke into several pieces. Is this what you just replaced in this video? Do I have to remove my entire clutch pedal to install the new part? The new piece looks like the one you put in..it's white in color with a point.. but my original that broke was black. Does that make any difference? Thanks for any help.

I actually replaces both pcs. , you don't have remove the pedal tight space because the limited space under there.

Sorry I did not see your second paragraph, color doesn't matter as long as the pc. fit and stay in.

What did your pedal feel like before and after ?

If press all the way down it felt like it tapped metal, but the clutch work normal.
