This particular Porsche 964 Turbo 3.6 was ordered new by Pray Porsche of Greenwich, Connecticut. The order was batch submitted by telex and requested "PORSCHE EXCLUSIV” deviation in the form of five special options:
-Dark Rootwood Shift Knob
-Dark Rootwood Parking Brake Lever
-Wheel Center Caps with Porsche Crest
-Special Supple Rear Seats in Leather
-Special Supple Front Seats in Leather
The first three were regular “parts bin” items but the front and rear seats required a deviation off the assembly line for delayed installation. (Essentially any options or modifications that required more than one day delay of the assembly line production would have the vehicle diverted to complete the work so as not to delay the rest of the production line.)
On November 29th, 1993, the invoice was approved and production authorized to complete. The car was diverted to the "PORSCHE EXCLUSIV” department but delayed for assembly awaiting the fitting of the “Draped/Supple” leather interior. The car was officially given a completion date of February 2nd 1994 and shipped by ocean to the Port of Charleston, South Carolina and then trucked overland to Pray Porsche, Greenwich, Connecticut.
At some point in May of 1994, Pray Porsche sold the quota to Holbert Motor Cars of Warrington, Pennsylvania.
-May 28th, 1994 Car was sold by Holbert Motor Cars of Warrington, Pennsylvania with 22 miles recorded at then time of sale to first owner.
-February 7th, 2001 Holbert Motors sold the car with 27,285 miles to 2nd owner, William Cook of Lahaska, Pennsylvania.
-December 12th, 2004 Cook relocates to Palm Coast, Florida and reregistered the car there. The car was confirmed by the State of Florida with actual mileage of 37,187 miles.
-April 25th, 2014 Reregistered by Cook with mileage confirmed as actual and now showing 48,792 miles.
-October 1st, 2015 Sold by Cook to John Richard Christine of Riegelsville, Pennsylvania.
-February 15th, 2016 New Pennsylvania registration issued to Christine.
-August 16th, 2019 Sold to current owner, Richmond, Virginia. Total confirmed actual mileage at time of sale was 49,842 miles.
-September 3rd, 2019 New Pennsylvania registration issued to current owner.
-April 17th, 2020 Current owner decided to fully address paint fading and crazing by having car silent to Chuck’s Frame LLC in Richmond, Virginia for a complete disassembly and repaint in the original color “Midnight Blue Metallic.” The engine and gearbox were also removed and sent out for full services and repairs as needed. Total expense for all paint work was $27,461.29.

There is currently less than 600 miles running time on this vehicle since the completion of the full engine and gearbox out services and the fitting of the new tires. Tire date codes are however from 2018 but show near zero wear and the rears still have the remnants of the stickers in the tread pattern. There is also less than 600 miles on the vehicle since a complete and total repainting of the car in the original colors of “Midnight Blue Metallic.”
There is zero running time on the car since the replacements of all 12 spark plugs and a fresh compression check.
This Porsche is ready for any manner of immediate and enthusiastic enjoyment her fortunate new owner may desire.
