If anyone has videos or news of any mistakes made by this goalkeeper throughout his career please write it below my comment: I swear, all the biggest ones (Zoff, buffon, neuer, curtois , zenga ) make some mistake , but I don't remember one mistake of Preud'homme 😮😮😮😮😮😮!!!!! He was perfect , not human ! It's insane !!! For this he is the best ever , imho !

I remember in 1993 , one seasons before the World cup Sporting (Lisbon) had the chance to sign Preudhomme, but the club decided to not go for the signing because he was becoming "old" i think he had at this time 34 or 35... One season after he is considered the best GK of the world cup and he signs for Benfica (Sporting rivals) Preudhomme played for Benfica during 4 or 5 more seasons playing at high level, and displaying top class exhibitions... While Sporting had allways great teams in the 90s the GK position seemed allways to be the weakest part of the squads.... Till today i still regret how they didnt signed Preud homme in 1993, because Sporting never win anything till they solved the problem when signed Peter Schmeichel in 1999. history...

He could've played the WC 1982 and 1986 as well but at that time, Pfaff was playing strong and Preud'homme was only 23 in 1982. Before Courtois, He was the best ever keeper Belgium relied on. Golden glove 1994, Courtois golden glove 2018...

@Ricardo Nem me lembrava disto, eu sei q a afirmação parece muito exagerada ao afirmar q o Belga seria o melhor goleiro brasileiro de todos os tempos, mas a nível de carreira em clubes acho q ninguém pode dizer q Taffarel era melhor, embora seja bom lembrar q mesmo veterano no Galatasaray o Taffarel venceu o único título internacional de um clube turco no futebol europeu. Mas o Michel era melhor sem ofensa.

In the 80's and the early 90's, before the Bosman arrest, Belgian players, even the best of them, used to play the better part of their careers in our national league and our clubs were until that time quite succesful in Europe. In 1982 he lost the final of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup with Standard against Barcelona. In 1988 he won it with KV Mechelen against Ajax in the final. Following up to that they also won the Supercup beating PSV Eindhoven with 3-1 on aggregate and during his career he was considered to be one of the world's best and most consistent goalkeepers. The times have changed.Not for the better if you ask me. The bigger countries fucked up the system with the Champions League, what champions, you can end 4th in Spain for example and still get in it. Money corrupted it all. Can you imagine Courtois still playing for Racing Genk alongside Kevin De Bruyne? If they would have played in the '80's, it would have been that way and our best Belgian clubs would be very succesful in Europe looking to all the talent we have.
