This why we need to learn from the ex Eastern bloc as well as Cuba. Then we need to go beyond them-Pharmacology plan (steroids) as well as other means of restoration-(massage,sauna etc.) and employ some pro boxers to teach them tricks that amateurs don't know.

Lastima da tu comentario, un país 259 millones de habitantes en ese momento contra una isla de unos 9 millones y no podían encontrar un peso completo para enfrentar a Teofilo y Savon y a balado. Todos esos muchacho q tú dices estaban preparándose para ser profesionales de verdad, tenían todas las condiciones y torneos para entrenar así q las cosas estaban parejas. Los q iban a ser buenos lo fueron ya desde jóvenes y le quitaron algunas preseas a los cubanos en torneos internacionales como Jose Gómez, Whitaker, y otros como Mayweather el tío creo del campeón perdieron con cuñaos. También perdió con Pablo Romero el luego campeón Evander Holyfield . Así q no hay justificación posible. Cuba da boxeadores y peloteéis como Brasil da futbolistas o USA da baskeboliatas.

@P T: There really is no way to know for sure if Stevenson really would have fared well against world class pros, but Stevenson lost enough locally against Cuban opposition and 2 out of 3 against Vysotsky that it's safe to say that he wouldn't have fared well against th best of th 70s pro opposition.
