I loved the old North Station. So many wonderful memories getting off here to attend Boston Garden events over the years. I miss the old PCC trolleys I grew up riding. I also miss the old Lechmere station which was part of my youth.

My parents and I stayed at a hotel down the street from the old Lechmere station in 2012 when my sister graduated from BU graduate school, and it was our primary source of transportation while there. It's amazing that it was being used almost until it was 98 years old!

I must update my comment. The Green Line at Lechmere is completely transformed, and as of right now, the terminus is now Union Square! The new station looks incredible, and there are no turn styles…but you must tap your Charliecard on the ticket machine and receive a printout for validation just in case transit police check! The current state of the former station used up until a few months ago (Lechmere) is sad. It looks like it’s nothing more than a horse stable. Surprised they haven’t demolished it yet! I took photos for my references to compare them in the future.

I miss the good old days. I remember when the 01800s seats use to be red cloth. Best childhood memories

I remember the red line ran 4 cars on late nights and weekends back in the days. Also, I miss the old Ashmont Station

And I must add, that I took a Green Line train to Cleveland Circle that was brand new (about two years old is what the T employee told me)…Frank’s voice is regrettably not on the automatic announcements…it’s a female no nonsense voice…Frank’s was definitely better! No smoking, please!!!

Lol damn as an avid red line rider coming out of Somervile I could hear the "no smoking please" distinctly as I read that.

So many things have changed since 1995. The MBTA uses different LED sign boards in the stations. South Station (MBTA Subway Section) looks very different today because of the Silver Line added in 2004. North Station is now underground since 2004. Just a few of many things that has changed. But yes plenty of things stayed the same such as the Red Line trains.

Thank God I moved out the city and into a car before that madness began. I couldn't imagine riding the sardine cans in the am with a gag on.

Lots of things have changed. One example is that the MBTA Subway South Station mezzanine in this video looks almost unrecognizable to today. The silver line waterfront was added on that mezzanine in 2004 and a second floor was added moving the fare machines to the second floor.
