I had a 92 CR250 and it was the smoothest bike I’ve ever ridden. I’ve never been near this level of rider, but man it did a lot for my confidence and ability to push myself.

Those are years that I recall fondly, to think back then that we would think that this was the Pinnacle of the 2-Strike! Now we have KTM Husqvarna with counterbalanced engines, fuel injection, and something I'm really hoping that you guys will bring into your shop... *The BRC 500cc big bore kit custom made in Canada!* *It's 6,000 for the kit, but you get everything short of the gears and electric start from your current Husqvarna KTM transplant bike's engine! I really hope you guys do this kit, it would make for a great magazine issue and video series! A modern 500cc 2-Stroke with counterbalancing!* There's already one guy online who's uploaded a video with fuel injection into his bike.. I think one of our big US mags will hit paydirt with the new vs old 500 and 500 vs 450.

I own one of those. It has the stock purple shrouds and seat. Love this bike! I raced it from 1998 to 2001 and then again in 2015. The suspension is all dialed in for me. I tried selling it a few years ago. Glad no-one bought it. I will be keeping it for a long time, will race it in those vintage classes as too.

Great job! Awesome build and review. Nice to hear all the work and mistakes that went into it. I am going to build a CR steely this winter.

Did you have the original suspension rebuilt? Or did you use a totally different setup?
@codenamenoob49735 жыл бұрын
He talks about the suspension near the end, it's the original setup with all new internals but he wants to change out the forks for something modern as that was a weak point for the CR back in 95

I realize this ain't my bike & my opinion don't mean jack shit. However, these bikes look so bad ass with the original plastic & graphics, why change it.
