Jesus Christ, you could tell from the intro alone that IMSA had a regime change since the GTP days. "In Europe when someone goes faster, everyone else catches up. In America, he goes faster and they slow him down." Sadly this isn't even true for Europe anymore. Motorsports are a shit show globally now.

I’m sick of rules ruining auto racing. Let them do whatever. If only large factory teams can compete then so be it. Throw some private teams in there too and give them there own class.

The best part about early Grand-Am was how, from what I've seen of it, any car could win regardless of class. A Viper, a Corvette, and even a GT2 Porsche all won the Rolex....overall! On the privateer note, didn't IMSA used to allow competitors to modify their cars? Wasn't that how Intersport, Level 5, and Randy Lanier's brigade were all so competitive they threatened the factory teams?

Exactly. Tech regulations ruin racing, and the fewer, the better. It's amazing how so few people seem to say this.
