1995 February NASCAR race at the Calder Park Thunderdome

This is the February 1995 Australian Super Speedway Series race at the Calder Park Thunderdome for NASCARs, Rd 5 of the 1994/95 series.
The 'Pedders Suspension Night of Thunder' was a 100 lap event around the banked Thunderdome tri-oval won by Brad Jones, his first win in a NASCAR.

ive said it before... someone needs to buy up the thunderdome n bring it back to its former glory... imagine S5000 around here!.. mini CART!

Oh yea, for sure. Not only that. WIth the S5000, instead of having sprint rounds. Have the S5000 having there own events where they are the main draw card, like having a 250km long Grand Prix style of race format. Sure, S5000 having sprint rounds is great and all, but that's all well and good for when they are supporting other races, but for me they need there own love with the S5000 being the main races. Also have the Tunderdome as the "main" oval in the south Pacific, but also have about 5 shorter half mile style ovals. One in Queensland, one near Sidney, one in or near ACT, one near Adelaide, and maybe one in New Zealand.

Shouldn't they be driving counter clockwise, if nothing else it'll lessen injuries if they hit the wall.

The AUSCARs went the other way because they were rhd Commodore's and Falcon's.
