The Mustang Week Staff would like to announce a major project for the 2009 Mustang Week event. In February of 2009 the Staff lost one of our own with the passing of Bill Jones. Bill was an integral part of Mustang Week. The success of Mustang Week is due in part to Bill's knowledge and experience. We began entertaining ideas of what we might do either this spring or during Mustang Week in Bill's honor. Staff member Mike Clay brought forth the idea that we feel Bill would have most appreciated. Bill was the type of person that constantly went out of his way to help someone out. Anyone that spent time around Bill knew and experienced his generous nature. He was quick to help someone make something or a situation better. Keeping with this theme, we have selected a deserving fellow Mustang enthusiast to have their car cleaned up and modified in Bill's honor. The opportunity to do this presented itself in the parking lot after Bill's funeral. We have chosen the 1995 Mustang GT convertible owned by Joel Gilchrist. Joel goes by "Rev's 5.0" here on the Mustang Week website and other sites. He is the pastor of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Wentworth, NC, just north of Greensboro. Joel puts together and resides over the annual Mustang Week Worship Service the Sunday after all the big events and last year the youth group from his church volunteered their time to pick up trash and clean the parking lots at the mall after both the Car Show and Cruise In. The youth group will be back helping in 2009. Joel also reached out in a big way by being with Bill's family while Bill was in the hospital and then resided over and preached Bill's funeral service after his passing. We strongly feel that Joel exemplifies the moral character that Bill Jones lived by. We will reveal Rev's updated Stang at the Meet-N-Greet at Planet Hollywood, on July 21st during this years Mustang Week event. We already have a few very gracious sponsors lined up to help us with this project. Those already participating are listed below. We will continue to provide "sneak peak " details as we move closer to this reveal and look forward to this project in honor of our great friend and colleague. We really think Bill would feel we made a wise choice for the recipient and be very proud of this project.

Why is everyone trying to diss the car in the video? Its a quality 17 year old american muscle car, with a exhaust note that anyone can fall in love with. 215hp but still around 285 lb-tq. Good review Kyle, I honestly love the car, I almost bought one of these yesterday but the guy sold it right before me.

My cousin had a 95 or 95 Cobra. I cant remember i was pretty little. But it had the 4.6 not the 5.0 It ran pretty awesome! Sounded great!

Lets make a comparison shall we? I have a buddy with an 89 mustang with the 5.0, and another buddy with the 351. The 5.0 has been lightly worked, basically bone stock. The 351 is worked. Intake, heads, everything. Both friends have about the same driving habits. The 5.0 is still on the road, running stronger than ever. The 351 blew up under normal driving conditions. Both cars had around 110K on them at the time.

I think Christal should modify her old mustang like this! I'm not a big fan of those rims and I'm not big on mustangs in general, but nice car overall. I like the sound of it during the test drive as well as the revving portion and the presentation of everything in the video like with the mods and everything regarding Mustangweek was very professional and informative. Your videos are just getting better and someday someone needs to make a theme song and intro for your special videos!

Now less than 10 years later we have 2liters kicking out 247hp NA stock and the 5.0 is up to 412hp NA stock (I know it varies). Its impressive to see the growth of both 4cyl and V8s alike.

in this year the 5.0 mustangs were near the end of their run. they first introduced the 225 hp 5.0 liter in 1987 and back then in a light fox body it was pretty quick. when the corvettes are only putting out 240 hp and the best camaro of the day was putting out 225 hp from a 350 cubic inch motor I'd say 225 isn't too bad. may seem low in today's standards but back then it was pretty quick. they can be upgraded cheap and easy to be much faster also and the sound is intoxicating..end of story

Excuse me while i pick it apart...... Those side rocker panel skirt moldings are not the cobra. they came on all 94-98 mustangs. Shifter bezel has broken clips cuz the lip doesnt line up. The back bumper on the bottom is supposed to be Black. door bezel looks to be broken since its not all the way in place. your missing your bolt caps on your quarter panel interior trim for the roll bar which does noting but look good for show since its not actually welded to the frame. love the sign in the background reading show me the car fax. might need it for this car.

i have a 98 GT drop top & I have the tail lights frame painted black just like this.. I'm from Detroit, MI and i'm curious to know if u heard of the "Woodward Dream Cruise" that we have every year?? you would love it..i promise u that.. they usually have it in september and we get hundreds of people that show up from outta state with classic cars and also has a lot of newer cars as well.

It could be because of the gauge cluster. They go bad on the SN-94's all the time. the odometers stop turning on them as well.

8:48 has gas struts that make it “a lot more practical.” Assuming these were installed 10 years ago, how practical are they now? I had to replace the trunk lift supports in my 94 back in 2004, and again in 2014. Like clockwork, 10 year life span. You know when you need to replace them when your trunk wacks you in the head. I imagine a hood being far worse.

exactly ...not stock. and im sure that 200hp is after 2003 somewhere. in 1995 215hp was pretty damn good. at a max of 225hp in the foxbody it was spanking the LT1s...
