Recently bought one of these, 1995 non two tone like this. Also the window regulator has just decided to fail 😐 Suprised how sprightly it can feel at times. Certainly not a sports car but a very well built, very cool cruiser. Will put it away for winter and hopefully enjoy for years to come!

Love the SL big time ❤ Mercs of that era weren’t killed by accountants and truly was the pinnacle of German auto engineering! They are some of the very last forever Mercs 🥰😊 Then the accountants got involved and ruined it😢😢

If the soft top is non-functional remove the entire mechanism for a weight saving of around ~80kgs. That'll bring the power to weight ratio above the w126 300se sedan with less power but better p/w ratio. (The reason most people don't like the 6cylnder w129)
