Highlights from my rebuild of my one owner 95 Legacy. Some things I forgot to mention is that I've owned four other Legacys besides this one!
HKS Springs, STi Group N engine mounts, K4RTBOY shift bushings & short shift kit. Forgot lots of little things

I just scored a $100 Legacy Outback like this! I’ve never owned a Subaru, I drive old trucks but I’m kind of excited. It still runs and drives but it has a misfire in one cylinder and he was just planning on scrapping it at the junkyard. So I swooped in for its rescue!

Nice! Enjoy. They’re good cars - less and less of them on the road these days. I’m driving an APR tuned 2018 Alltrack these days so still in a wagon.

@@MrTrollin86 Subaru's are great cars to have. I bought my 2002 Subaru Outback Base Wagon back in March for 2100.00. When I say this car is a heavy duty soldier it is what it is. The previous owner took very good care of it with no issues so far. My only problem is that I live down South in Mississippi and it's very hard to find a mechanic who can work on it. It's a rare car down South which is why mechanics don't seem to know the technology of them. I'm really loving this Subaru because my late great-grandmother owned one. I plan to drive this car until the wheels stop turning.

Cool car, nice mods, I see you put much work into this classic beauty. I have a 1996 Legacy GTB RHD JDM. I appreciate all Legacies world wide. Too bad the states don't get these car's until after 25 yrs.

Thanks a lot for the kind words! It was a labor of love. I get nostalgic thinking of the car, the experiences I had in it and the places it took me. I sold it back in 2017/18. In its place is a stage 3 2018 VW Golf Alltrack. (All wheel drive, dual clutch turbocharged station wagon)

I have a 96 legacy also. I was looking for a car a couple months ago and found this one. An older couple sold it to me for $2,100 with 30k miles on it. You read that right no typo 30,000 miles it’s like new. You did an outstanding job man. I’ve been looking for a way to upgrade and modernize it as much as possible. I think you hit it spot on !!! Would love to get some info from you. Hope to hear back!!

Congrats on the purchase on your low mileage Legacy! Sounds like a great find. If you're looking for some initial upgrades to get started with that are the best bang for your buck that improve the driving experience most I would start with these, in this exact order: 16" or 17" lightweight wheels with sticky tires. Hands down the best money you'll spend. From there assuming its a manual transmission, a short shift kit with new shifter bushings & synthetic fluids. Outback 18mm rear sway bar or an adjustable Whiteline sway bar with their alloy endlinks & HD mounting bracket. JDM projector headlights are a great upgrade as well - have fun with it!

This is a very nice car with no miles on it. I would definitely cherish it and love it.

I ordered it through a Subaru dealer in Oregon City, OR in ~2014-2015. They're likely no longer available new.

@@salemgaming3281 bordeaux red is one of the best colors out there. I rebuilt the car over a three year time span. It was a labor of love, and consumed a lot of time, money and energy to source all the parts needed. Facebook has pretty much corrupted the best source of knowledge for these cars and what use to be the best marketplace for parts: SL-i.net/FORUM. I used FaceBook groups, Craigslist and local friends in the Pacific Northwest, as well as the forums to source most parts. A lot of the JDM stuff I got through LSwans Garage - an importing company in Texas. Lswans had horrible customer service and communication but great pricing. Car has long since been sold.

Hey There! I'd recommend joining the FaceBook group "1st/2nd gen Subaru Legacy" as well as the website sl-i.net. I also sell a lot of parts for these too so just let me know what you're looking for!

How much did you sell this for, if you don't mind me asking? I have a 95 subaru legacy wagon as well but want to buy parts for it and fix up all the dings and what not. Possible try and turn it turbo.

I will say I got a small fraction of my total investment back when I sold the car last summer. It is missed, but the new owner is taking good care of her. The number is less than $10k
