It felt the most real ending in a way. Every human is surviving ever since out of the womb to make a better living for themselves. Everyone is on their own path to success. Nobody really cares about fully 100%. Only you and your own self can relate to actions, thoughts and feelings, your the only one that can really care for your own self at 100% to live the life you want that will help you feel better in whatever way you choose.

I love how cry of fear doesn't have the happily ever after style endings (apart from Co-op ending) Simon is one of the few characters out there that can get a good ending but not perfect. Only two people I can THINK of at the moment are David Leatherhoff (AOM) and Torqe (The Suffering)

What i like about this game is that there is no happy ending, no matter how you try it. Sure you can fight carcass and trust the doctor, yet two police officers die. Every ending is bad if you look at it from a certain way. And this is the worst of all, simon doesn't trust anybody and ends up killing both of the people who he thought made his life "miserable". If you ask me, for a game that treats depression like this. Despite how dark and morbid this ending might be, i think it fits the game perfectly.

Laughing at me, my legs, thinking that they are so good, that they are better than me. Pretending they care about me, its all bullshit! The pills showed me the truth today, they always did. They opened my eyes, they gave me wisdom, and I acted upon it. So I had to kill Sophie and my doctor... my... "mentor", my "counsellor". Heh. I had to take them down with me! They're not laughing anymore! Oh I wish I could have taken everybody down with me, but unfortunately, my situation makes that impossible. To whoever is reading this: I hope my dead body will haunt you forever. Have fun scraping my brains off the wall. Fuck you.

No, it's not the best ending. Simon's a tough guy. Sure, he was depressed, he hated himself, he hated everyone around him, but in reality, if he was capable of fighting so many other horirble things trying to kill him, of course it's no stretch that he'd have fought Carcass bravely, even when he could've run away. And in the face of the Doctor, he always would've given him the gun and trusted him, just because Simon seemed to develop a trust and interest in the guy. If this is what he did in the book, then it's almost certainly what he did in real life. That's the deal. Depression may be strong, but for a guy like Simon, it's no match for the will you see him develop throughout the game.

If you want this ending you have to flee away from the monster that kills Sofie. Go back the way you came and you'll escape him and then when you can choose to give the gun to the doctor don't give it to him. Do that and you should get this ending :)

Sociopaths do have emotions like fear, anger, happiness etc. But they don't have empathy, and they only care about themselves and their entertainment. Like, they can find sawing someone's limbs off very funny and enjoyable, because they can't feel the victim's pain. Psychos, as I understand them, have underdeveloped emotions - their emotions are always super strong - if they afraid, they become paranoid to the point of hallucinations and psyhosis, if they fall in love (I think they can form attachements) - they stalk the object of their interest and can't stop thinking about them and wanting them even for a second, etc. And their actions are often impulsive, as they can't hold back their emotions. Who is Simon? Well, I don't think he is either a psycho or a sociopath. He always was vulnerable and unstable, but the accident left a horrible mark on his mind. He basically got depressed to the point of no return (and I understand him - his fate was truly tragic, and most people would've ended their lives in the same way)

I like the clear contradiction in his logic, he was too consumed by his emotions to realize despite being bound to a wheelchair he still managed to pull off killing two people, a "feat" difficult for a normal, healthy person to do never mind a guy in a wheelchair. One of which he has to go and subdue before bringing her back to his house. Pretty hard for a guy in a wheelchair to do, yet he still pulled it off because of how angry he was.

I still wondering how Simon was able to kill both Sophie and Dr. Purnell, like he is crippled and if he lets say shot Dr. Purnell in his apartment, shouldn't Simon have gotten arrested before he kills sophie? Maybe he stabbed them with his pocket knife, but it is still almost impossible to do that successfully since he can't use his legs to walk or stand at all.
