Crying Game did nothing when he came from the west but put pace into some big races. Circles and Iron Horse did really well to finish that close.

Agree totally !!!!!!! Brent Stanley thought all his Christmases had come at once, when D Oliver peeled off the fence !!!!!!!!! He stays on the fence and gets her run, he wins !!!!!!!

It's not like he lost much ground. He was not far from her before the turn. They outsprinted him when it mattered then he picked up from the 250-100 and then the winner powered away. If he was going to win then he would have to have been much closer than that for the jockey move to matter.

@@marklulham3148 the track that day was shocking, if you weren't on the fence or near it you had none. That was why Oliver rode Doriemus so close.

Now thats a brutal 2400m race , the Euros walk 2200m then sprint, this was a 2400m sprint and always is, too me its better than the Melb Cup as maybe 5 or 6 of the field can run a strong 3200m but 2400m is a different story and if you were on Circles of Gold you woukd have thought you were home but Artic Scent was just waiting for the split and ran away with it.
