India chose to bowl first because Srilanka won against India in group stage chasing. The pitch was made to suit spinners, but Srilanka was having better spinners in their side. Indian batting on those days were fully dependent on Sachin. Kambli gave that statement just because to get some attention. India was bad on that day, as simple as that.

At 0.37 secs you say ‘1991 ka world cup’, which was in 1992. Plus you didn’t mention 1985 World Championship of Cricket at the beginning along with 1983 victory, both of which were pivotal points in Indian cricket. Just some minor feedbacks but wish you the very best!

SRI LANKA won that semi finals..FARE and SQUARE ..no doubts at all .. The untime dismissal of Sachin getting stumped or run out whatever you may call it and the falling of Indian wickets like Nine pins is the only reason why we lost that match...
