1996 Hoover Dirt Finder Power Drive Infomercial

Thank you for uploading this Rick, I never knew an infomercial existed for these. I own one myself (a 97 one to be exact, which is the final year for these), and although I still to this day think the dirt finder feature is kind of a gimmick, it did serve its purpose in the industry at the time for buyers who wanted to know if their vacuum was actually working. I'm just amazed how Hoover got it to work in a direct air platform.

I used to have one without the dirt finder during early childhood bought from the owner and it was kept until I was 10 when it was given to family members who needed a vacuum.

It’s nice to see that they use a Uk hoover turbopower 2 on the side called dirtiest pink carpet, they top models had autosense so if the carpet was dirty it would turn the power up and then go back down when it was clean, a bit more technologically advanced than just the green light, it was also more powerful with stronger tool suction than the dirt finder The uk turbo 2 was also blocked so it didn’t pick up she didn’t even turn it on or off as the switch is on the front. Love how these informercials do these naughty little tricks

Then again that Turbopower 2 which is a 240 volt vacuum wouldn't even work on a US voltage system which is 110 volts!!

Dyson is more expensive and overrated and when it does clog it gets difficult to clear. My friend had spend more than $750 on a Dyson that only lasted 3 years.

Hoover ain’t what it used to be at this time! The Hoover Hushtone Commercial is the only Hoover product that I’d buy because it is American-made with a European Domel motor.
