Seeing these scenes i did not understand why Jason did what he did to robin with Carly

angela morales He's a guy. He had physical needs but he had to restrain himself with Robin out of respect for her. He met a random woman who would help him get his urges under control with no strings and that turned out to be Carly. Carly always comes with strings but Jason didn't know that at the time.

At the time, it made logical sense to him that you could compartmentalize both relationships. Robin wanted an emotional relationship but didn’t want to have sex. Carly only wanted sex without any emotional connection. To him it was two separate halves, it made sense. Along the way, he figured out it was wrong. These early years, the umbrella storyline was The Education Of Jason Morgan.

I always wondered what would have happened if Robin had explained the importance of your first time & that she wanted to be his, followed by a quick lesson in fidelity. I really don’t think he could grasp all of that then.
