cuz in da 90s , if you wasnt in NY or Cali , you pretty much just had to hope the right person hears your shit n wants to have it spread everywhere. memphis didnt mean shit to the INDUSTRY so they couldnt force their way into ppls attention n was at the mercy of whether or not the big cities in da rap game wanted this shit to get heard. its funny cuz memphis prolly has the most widespread/universal influence of any city in hip hop history wit how almost all the production rn is made off the same base as these tapes. so many ppl obviously show love n respect to what memphis did in the 90s without even knowin they got memphis to thank for it. this is where trap started. its wild how much love this subgenre gets in rap today and how little ppl actually say memphis or any of these artists when showin love. 90% da biggest rappers last 5-10 years just makin a less evil soundin n way less skilled version of 90s memphis shit

Does anyone have anymore info on N.O.D cuz I can’t find anything online so I’m assuming this album was released and few copies were sold similar to panchiko deathmetal’s case but I low key want to see where the members of N.O.D ended up (probably dead or In prison tho)
@dismissyourself4 жыл бұрын
It's a group made up of Tommy wright III and a few other big names in Memphis, get the names of the group members and trace back their history. They all got together once for this release, there was another later on but it didn't include Tommy since he was in prison at the time so it's not as worth listening to, definitely not the same sound you find here.
@chinogabesv6504 жыл бұрын
Tom Skee recently dropped an album called Worth the Weight, Tommy Wright III is touring worldwide and collabed with Lil B recently, Mac Kyles alive, Project Pimp goes by Project Thug now and dropped an album in 2014, Jesse James dropped an album and Psycho D makes beats and posts previews on his KZbin channel
