I got a 95 Sierra and my question is that I wanna swap to a 97-98 steering wheel and I’m wondering if the airbag yellow connector is compatable to the 95????

Lol. Yeah the Air Bag stuff always makes me nervous. Even on the newer cars that have them built into the seats. Always feels sketchy.

I didn't want to get knocked out by it but i figured if it deployed i could always get another from the junkyard... Or i guess go wood grain aftermarket...i do love the stock wheel though. Thanks for watching and the comment!

Hey man, thanks for checking in...it's going well...still need to figure out the steering...maybe rag joint or steering box itself...there's too much play in it. Paint should be soon...although that's going to be an ongoing process. I was out of town for a bit but actually in Moab was wishing I had this thing...would have been fun. I think I decided to not lift it...a lot of times I think it looks kinda goofy to lift without massive tires and a lot of lifts require you to drop the diff to maintain angle which defeats the purpose since you don't gain any ground clearance.

@@jperrod1979 To check the steering, unlock the steering wheel, pull back the plastic cover where the intermediate shaft connects to the steering gear. Rotate the steering shaft and watch the top of the pitman arm to see if the play is in the rag joint or the box itself. I found my steering box is bad. However I took the steering shaft out anyway to swap the rag joint. Not that hard and inexpensive. Glad I did though. Discovered the grease in the steering shaft had hardened. The shaft slides apart. It might be hard if the grease is bad. There's a simple spring in there too. Clean and apply silicone grease like Sil-glyde. Here's a simple vid I recorded checking the slop: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4Cqh6aim92DodE
