Jeff's not always the most reliable source on himself. He performs it during his earliest set (Aquarius, 1996), so who knows how long it existed prior. Oddly, during that 96 performance he includes the Goldaline verse, which wouldn't reappear in the same form till 1998.

@@NeutralMilkHotelArchive you really are NMHs archivist, and if theres a band that needs to be remembered through history - these guys are it. Keep it up and thanks for peeling back some of the "mystery" bs with all of these performances. I remember 7 years ago KZbin had 2 or 3 full performances (usually 30 minute sets where its never the full band) and Jittery Joes footage. that's it. that's all that was available to watch this fabled NMH band everyone keeps telling u about. you found and shared so much more and I just longwindedly am saying thanks
