0:26 Ed confirms that he and the guys were definitely not tuning in to MTV while here in the states. Man do I miss the first half of the nineties before shows like "TRL" and "The Real World" took over, and full music videos were replaced with brief clips, or abandoned entirely and their songs just partially played as background music. I know, it's a ubiquitous complaint. I'm just writing mine right now because I wish I could turn on the TV and see "Street Spirit" or "Just," like when I was a kid and watching MTV still felt kind of magical. Even when "Paranoid Android" was on all the time, we still had to wait anxiously through Sugar Ray and Missy Elliott videos to get those few minutes of excitement when the video we were waiting for finally came on. Any of you guys remember that? Makes me grateful for KZbin, really. Thank you so much for posting these interviews for us!

Wow. This takes me back too. It felt like MTV Live was on for a few weeks and BOOM, TRL was taking over and the slow fall of MTV started around 98-99'. I didn't mind Real World, that was going on forever, but I am a fan that stopped at Boston. That was the last good one. Although, the Real World / Road Rules Challenges & Jackass / Viva La Bam were guilty pleasures of mine. It just wasn't like the prime days of MTV in the mid 90's.

Yep. Agreed. Especially now. Spotify et al, what a corporate rip off today is, the take over of emancipation rights of slaves handed over to entities with human rights. Orwellian nightmare on steroids. Material for a lot of great artists who'll never be heard and or aired. 🎼💙
