Tensioner was replaced later after the owner got back to the vehicle and was told it was needed.

I have a 2004 dodge dakota sport 4.7L engine. Need a thermostat size, length and diameter of 2 thermostat bolts. No auto part dealer or parts stores will tell me. In a bind because only one truck. I need ASAP so I don't have to do a head gasket job. Help please anybody.

Darrell Ducote I did that and they didn't help either. But I found a way to take off the rounded head bolt and put new bolts and thermostat in. Now when I start the truck first thing in the morning white smoke appears. But after the truck warms up no more white smoke. Now I'm thinking its a top head gasket because process of elimination of trouble shooting.

I've hard that the white smoke means a head gasket. Probably what it is
