Guys, if you have an automatic transmission and the line does not come out right away, meaning the two in the right side of the radiator. It’s because the bolt is really tight in there. You will have to tap it out.

What if you NEVER had those lines hooked up to the radiator?, BUT the plugs were in there.

Your car has a manual transmission. All of these radiators were the same regardless of the transmission option. -Landan

what about the 2003 -2004 mach1. I bought mine about 3 yrs ago and am running into both GT and cobra parts on this thing that shouldn't have been there from the factory (Ie. lower control arms from a GT (from the factort),and a lot of other parts from both. These weren't put on by the previous owner. it was the factory that did this. Where can I find a list of shared parts? As for the lower control arms. just found out yesterday that Autozone has their own TSB for ALL models1997-2004 of mustangs (except the mach1 and other vehicles that share the same suspension platform). for the lower control arms and ball joints. I am supposed to call back today @ 4PM to get the details.

Your car should have had "GT" lower control arms from the factory. If you're talking about the front: the cobra had a slightly different shaped control arm to clear it's wider wheels, and in the rear...........well the cobra had an IRS. Neither of those things applies your your mach. Your mach has a GT radiator as well. The cobra had a larger unit to deal with the extra 70hp that car made.

Oh its because it is an automatic on the video so my cobra doesnt have the transmission coolant lines on the radiator like the automatic so what do I do about those 2 extra holes ? 🤔

You can simply leave these open or you can plug them off. These are a sealed tube inside of the rad and will not cause a leak of the coolant.

Why does my cooler line doesnt screw in?

I’m having the same problem, my bottom cooler line won’t grab a thread and the top barley grabs a thread or 2 before it bottoms out. The depth of the holes are too shallow. They 7/16” deep. The OEM fittings are 5/8” deep. The smooth part on the cooler line bolts is 5/16”. You only have about an 1/8” to grab a thread. My bottom one wants to grab a thread then it pops out!

Wire it to switched 12v so it’s always running. It’s how it used to work in old cars and it’s how it should still work in my opinion.

@@CT-pc3rh The Mishimoto brackets have the same dimensions and tolerances as the factory brackets. The only difference is that they're made out of aluminum. What is causing the fitment issues? -Landan

That year Mustang calls for yellow colored coolant. Motorcraft VC-7-A to be exact. -Landan
