This is how to remove the valve cover, Intake CAM, Exhaust CAM, CAM tray (CAM Bridge), cylinder jug, cylinder head, Piston, and a few other components from the bottom end.
This is part 1 of a 4-part series on splitting the crankcase and removing the crankshaft from a 1997 - 2007 Kawasaki KLX300. Will be similar on the KLX250.
