Parts quality is terrible these days. Take it back apart and look at it. Compare with old parts. Make sure everything was seated all the way. Something HAS to be sticking out. There should be evidence. It is likely ruined now so a new set may have to be had. I wouldn't run something that has been rubbing. Wouldn't be the first time a person had to do something over. I had changed the timing belt on our Hyundai Accent. Took 90 minutes. Easy job. Didn't replace the timing belt tensioner or the water pump as it was fine before and wanted to save the $. Started it and the tensioner squealed. Drove it like that and without the covers to the parts store to get a new tensioner and do the job over again. Good the second time.
