It is it's the top of the line for the Town & country of that year LXI is the highest trim same with the Chrysler Concorde LXI

Like the 3.8 liter motors in the LXi. That was a loaded one back in the day. Those leather bucket seats were in good shape. Agree a lot of good parts. Wonder what did it in.

They sold a ton of these white with gold stripe vans in the 3rd gens. The heated seats werent available until the 98 year in the LXi trim. If i recall it was a 250 dollar option. Was standard in the Limiteds in 99 -2000

I'm not a huge fan of the 3rd Gen vans but my favorite are the Town and Country from 1996-1997 because they had that older more traditional waterfall grille. I think they were the most luxurious in those years and i really liked the gold painted inserted rims. Most of these were painted white, as in this example, and ones in great shape are getting harder and harder to find. Maybe one of these might find it's way onto the channel sometime in the future?? 🙄🤔

I’m not crazy about the tan brown interior either . I have a 95 explorer with that tan brown leather interior.. it’s ok .. but wouldn’t be my first choice . I like grey leather or black .. dark cloth is good for the winter..with heated seats. Was -6 F feeling like -20 F here this morning.. same cold for 2 more days here . How’s ur daily driver doing ?

@462ANIMAL overhead console was showing 1 F in the 05' on the drive in this morning. Running good. Should roll 320k here in a couple days. I did manage to get it fully undercoated in fluidfilm black last weekend.

I've never ever seen a Town&Country in person before. They must not be sold in Canada or very very rare here. Did any Caravans/Voyagers/T&C's have rear disc brakes?

@tall_dude1233 3rd gen awd got rear discs. Otherwise 2001+ was optional on all models. You can however fit 01-03 rear discs into a third gen no problem. Swap backingplate, and hardware + the rear half of the parking brake cables.

Why cant these junk yards ever cell the radios online, i have a 1999 dodge caravan with the basic radio with only the cassette, i would like to swap it out for the ones with the CD players and cassette because they look better in the dash even tho ill never use the CD player, there is hardly none online and the ones that are go for $200 and $300, it always makes me wonder how many of these vans get there radios scrapped with the van. And do you know if it’s easy to find the middle captain seats in junkyards also? My 1999 dodge caravan has the middle bench seat and I’ve always wanted to trade it for the single captain seats?

@MattG-n2z id say it's about 50/50 on whether the vans i see are buckets or bench seats. I'm sure a lot do get scrapped with radios. I do find a lot get pulled too. I've pulled my share of radios. Maybe you should try find a u pull yard near you to pull one yourself! Or try ebay. Ebay might be your best bet otherwise

@BabyBugBug honestly washing isn't enough with the road brine. Gets in all of the crevices that a car wash can't clean. As for undercoating... not sure. Time and money I'm sure is part of it... or just lack of knowledge.

@TFD1982 no they don't. Self service only. They have a "they pull" yard but as far as I'm aware they only keep late model vehicles on that lot.

​@@MNMoparMinivanyeah well our salvage yards if you have the title they will sell you the vehicle if the body is good here no I meant the whole vehicle not the seats! That's a rare rare van. There's one 96 couple doors down for me and they're driving it in the salt😢 they wouldn't sell it to me.
