I love you man. I exchanged a brand new battery arguing with the store that my battery is defective. You saved me from wasting money on buying a new starter!

This problem occurs with the brake switch too. If the grommet on the brake pedal falls apart the brakes stay on a kill the battery.

Thank you, you beautiful person you!! I’ve been looking and looking for a video that would help me figure out why after replacing the first bushing, it still wouldn’t start. I couldn’t see that far one had fallen off too!

Hey I know this video is three years old but there is actually a pad called “brake and clutch pedal stop pads” look it up…anyways if you find the clutch sensor and u should find it. Sometimes there are old and crumple to pieces.

Most manual honda drivers know this. But once again another video that did not show easiest way to install the plug. Super glue penny seems to be the way I guess

Does this work on an automatic? I used to put it in neutral to start it now that doesn’t work
@Snafu23462 жыл бұрын
how do you install that bushing on there though? It just pops in?
@thejivix2 жыл бұрын
Yes sir, it just pops in, easy!

As a way to solve the clutch safety switch problem demonstrated here without removing the clutch to access the hole for the stop pad or bumper, you could refer to the following link (video and description). kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJS8kntvrap_obs

How did you get up there to put it on
@thejivix5 жыл бұрын
You can reach with your hand, just have to look for the sensor in the area. If you have somebody to assist you with lights, makes it easier.

I cannot remember the name of the part but once you go to an outo part and explain them what you need, they will know.

I don’t see what that rubber grommet has to do with the car not cranking 🤔 I’m having a no crank issue and my battery is fine and so is the little bushing or whatever that is. I’m really hoping it’s not my starter
@thejivix4 жыл бұрын
That little rubber part push a switch in the sensor that controls the starting with the clutch pedal. If that rubber part is not there, there is an open circuit and the power is not delivered to all of the components to be able to cranck. This happens in this cases with manual transmission cars.

How do you have your radio wired
@thejivix4 жыл бұрын
Regular installation, match the wires: red, black, yellow with the ones in the car and of course the speakers. Mine have a bluetooth which is hooked to the RCA input in the back of the radio.

@junkstufffab3 жыл бұрын
Turns out it was the battery, but the metal part that the cables get attached to wasn’t screwed on right, so a jump wouldn’t work. AutoZone recharged my battery for me and it’s good as new :)

@thejivix5 жыл бұрын
Have you try to put it in Neutral and cranck it? Sometimes it doesn't fall all the way in Parking.
@serrano94 жыл бұрын
@@thejivix hay I try that and it work. Thanks
@edwinromero1764 жыл бұрын
This is incorrect. The problem is your starter. If this was the issue why didnt he crank it to show that it works? I just had this problem, replaced starter and boom car is back
@thejivix4 жыл бұрын
It might not be your case, there are different issues why a car won't crank. I did not replace the starter and I just spent $1.79 to fix it. So far people with the same problem were able to fix the problem
@edwinromero1764 жыл бұрын
Very strange.. because i had this same issue 97 civic today and i replaced the starter and it worked.
@859don4 жыл бұрын
@@edwinromero176 your issue was with starter not a bushing/grommet.
