What is the name of the solid plastic piece that you pulled out? Does it have clips that hold it in place? 1996 Lexus ES 300

It’s the exact same same procedure and filter for the 1997-2001 non-US Toyota Camry. In my case when I removed the lower filter, only half of the filter came off, the thing broke inside and can’t get off the upper filters if I don’t take off the other half of the lower filter, now I just don’t know how to get it out of that tight space. I’ll wait for the ES 300 filter replacements from the US to arrive first. I’m sure the filter hasn’t been changed in 23 years.

What??? The non US XV20's have cabin air filters?

@@DavidNgo86 Yes they do, I had a 1997 Euro spec Camry and had the filter in the same spot as the ES300.
