@@MrCarGuy - By saying “if I recall” I’m obviously not speaking from personal experience. I’m recalling what I have read. Yes, reading. What folk do to learn stuff. Maybe do some of your own research and get back to me with your findings. It was easy for me so you should be able to pull something together. I did my research after playing Gran Turismo 2. The car was in that game. I did my research as a teenager so yeah, good luck.

I’m a fan of lotus but saying gm aka Chevrolet can’t make chassis is nonsense. Corvette has 10 alms championships, 4 imsa championships and Cadillac has 3 imsa champions in the dpi and 1 win last year in the imsa gtp Hypercar

The Corvette has been winning races every generation. Although the C5 is the first to have factory support. Chevrolet can absolutely build a chassis.

Yes, bored out to 6.3 liters, it`s based on the C4 Corvette ZR1 engine :)

@@fontheking5 That not the LT-5 DOHC engine. Valve covers look more like a SBC or LS. I know these originally had the LT-5, but not anymore it appears.

It's a .1 liter more than the LS3 sized, Z06's Ls7.

This does not have an LS engine, it's engine is based on the 5,7 liter Lotus designed C4 Corvette ZR1 engine, which was called LT5, and it is an all alloy 4 valve per cylinder, double overhead cam design, that was first unveiled in the 1988 Corvette C4 ZR1. This engine shares nothing with the LS engines. The LT5 was designed by Lotus in England and built by Mercury marine in Oklahoma Usa. They first tryed to use 3.5 liter Lotus Esprit V8 engine as the base engine for this car, but it was not enough, so they used this engine for the racing version instead 👍
