Peak RJ Peak Sabres This was 2 years after I started watching/loving the sabres. Yeah, didn't win it all, but from 99 on I had no chance of being a true fan of any other team, in any sport! LOVIN what I'm seeing this season from tuck and TnT especially! Playoffs is still a big ask, but even without, it's the most excited/entertained I've been in years!

Best jersey, best era, i was a big sabres fan during this era. Was this the year they got screwed by the bad call? Everyone hates this jersey, but they did alot in this jersey and had legends, hasek was insane to watch to. Peca, hasek, rookie satan, barnaby, they were mad fun to watch. Those away Satan jerseys were probably the dopest jerseys sports had for a little bit, those were popular for a little bit i remember, hasek jerseys to. I had a authentic one no name or number but its a home, i wish it was away the black colorway looks better imo. 2:01 was a clean goal, i remember that series.

The Sabres powerplay was anemic all season long and probably was in the bottom 10% of the league. Then they proceed to score at least a power play goal in every game of the Ottawa series, Boston series and almost every game of the Toronto series, before falling back to Earth during the Dallas series. Not bad for the dead puck era.

Well said. The power play was the biggest reason not named Dominik Hasek that they went that far.

Even though once again It's looking like my Buffalo Sabres will not make the playoffs even though we had a great year Don granato seems to have this team on the right path. I'm rooting for new jersey to win the cup for the simple fact I always been a fan of lindy ruff he was a great coach here on Buffalo as well as a player for us as well lindy deserves to lift that cup

The sabres had 4 good lines at this time. This was a beautiful playoff run. I remember every series. They faced a lot of good goaltenders. But let's not forget the dominator was in true form.
