Nothing wrong with using a keepnet for fish up to 5 or 6 pound on a pleasure fishing session if you have a large good quality net and you don’t keep them a long time. If I’m not fishing for carp or barbel, then I just won’t go somewhere I can’t use a keepnet. I don’t want the fish going back and spooking the shoal and I want to see the results if it is about catching a large number of smaller fish.
