2:44 Correction: VTEC is both Variable Valve Timing (VVT) AND Variable Valve Lift (VVL). Most modern cars have some sort of VVT, such as Toyota's VVT-i, and what it does is change the point in rotation in which the intake valves open and close in order to improve fuel efficiency. It also has the capability to increase horsepower. VVL is different in that it changes how far the valves open, allowing more air and fuel to flow into the combustion chamber, and VTEC does this at high RPM in order to retain good efficiency on the low end, but at higher RPM the engine can use more fuel and air to increase power. Some other cars that have VVL are new BMWs and the Toyota Celica, Corolla, and Matrix with the 2ZZ-GE engine.

Heya! Big Civic fanatic here, let me separate the VI RS and SiR for ya real quick. At 1:38, you say that you don’t know what’s different. Well, the VI RS was released EXCLUSIVELY to Japan. In real life, they come with a 3-Stage VTEC D15B SOHC 1.5 liter, putting out about 130 HP. The SiR (sedan, Japan got the EK SiR hatch) was exclusive to the PHILIPPINES. It came with a 160 HP DOHC B16A VTEC. This SiR was marked as a PAD-EK454 (So, EK4, like Japanese Sis and SiRs), and get this, only 3003 units were EVER made, for the Philippines only! One of my uncles owns the first unit in fact, hehe. Available colors for the Philippine SiR are: Tafetta White Nighthawk Black Formula Red Sunburst Yellow (One of the most popular choices) Passion Orange (The TRADEMARK color) In Japan, the SiR sedan is labeled as an Si Ferio, but instead of the old B16A variant, it came with the B16A2 (I believe, don’t quote me on it!) Not much info is out there 'bout the the Si Ferio, but it came in 96 and 99 (pre facelift and facelift) bodies while the Philippine SiR only came in the facelift (99) body. Again, not much info on the JDM Si sedan, but we know that it exists! This mod is nearly 100 percent accurate, I'd say.

In my opinion BeamNG is way more enjoyable with a steering wheel, a keyboard or a controller can’t transfer the feel of the car like a proper wheel does. What I’m saying is I didn’t use to enjoy BeamNG as much as I do now with Fanatec CSL DD - not the best, but it’s so much more fun to explore cool mods like this one than just spamming the A and D buttons to slightly steer etcetera. So I’m sure I’m gonna enjoy this lovely mod, thank you for showing it to us, Jack

This gen Civic made me remember its Rover counterpart, which ALSO made me remember a VERY VERY nice 3 door Dark Blue Rover 200 that I saw today. It was abandoned by a tree, might ask the lady who lives there to sell it to me, if she wants 🤞.

It feels good to recreate my first car in BeamNG! Mine was prefacelift 1996 Ferio Vi (spec below ViRS) grey imported from japan and equipped with D15B engine (slow af) and sold it due to frame bend. Although the mod is not RHD, facelift trunk and only have B16A2 engine. It still fun to drive!

The M&M livery is a refence to Kyle Busch's NASCAR Toyota Camry with a similar livery. It's had a few variants over the years with some other drivers before Busch, but it's one of those cars that, if you grew up watching NASCAR, you'd know it instantly.

It's a system you can buy for PC called TrackIR. It's a type of head tracking, there are many cheaper or free alternatives out there that use phone cameras or webcams.
