@pedro gates If Taggart wanted to be DEA Agent then he would be helping Jason. Because Jason always sends the drugs of his enemies to the DEA and they can arrest Jason's enemies because of that.

Why would jason go with Carly she knew that jason loves Michael and would have done everything/anything for him and Carly played that to her advantage a lot more with him,Robin a lot till they broke up because of what Carly did or said Carly lies,cons, manipulates people like with jason and he believed it and Carly told lots of lies to people lies about jason a lot and he just let it go with with Robin he let go when it came to Carly which was not right because Robin was the love of his life and showed to her and told her as well, but when it comes to lies or not doing what he wants jason gets mad,angry with her he even yelled at her in 1997 at the hospital when he got shot for the first time

Jason never judged Carly.....which everyone else did....they all behaves as if they were better thank him and Carly and the weren't....more importantly, Jason figured out here lies and he was comfortable with her.
