1998 Kohler Wellworth Ingenium Tests

The mid-late 00s Ingeniums are some of the best Kohlers ever made. Performance almost as good as the Class 5 and bowl rinse + bowl clearance as good as a Waterguard. The look is also elegant and still very modern.

I agree. Class Fives can take a bit more before clogging but these put Waterguards to shame.

@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations first gen waterguard only though I believe. The second gen waterguard from 1985-1992 should be about as good as ingeniums in solids.

Man thats the same toilet I used to have 1999 model. I hated it. Would clog up pretty much every single time. Got it replaced by a glacier bay power flush, and in 2 years it's never clogged a single time. The only thing i like on this Toilet is the bowl rinse. I also have a brand new kohler elmbrook in my other bathroom, again it never clogs. 90s era toilets are the worst. Basically half assed to meet new water use regulations.

My ingenium flushes longer than that one cause its very old and we never replaced cause the toilet was very good to me and my family so i call it the veteran toilet

​@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations it probably does but one of the problems my ingenium used to have was whenever someone would flush it wrong the flapper would get stuck open cause the chain was very long and you have to hold the handle to get the max flush but also to get the old fluidmaster fill valve that has a chain on it to work cause sometimes it doesn't
