A British beauty, ready to drive!
This 1998 Defender 90 is finished in lovely Land Rover Coniston green with an ivory white roof and matching Wolf steel wheels, which can only be described as simply a beautiful combination for a classic British Land Rover. It’s equipped with diesel power, right-hand drive authenticity and is a great original example. It’s a perfect cruiser with all the character and charisma you need for the ultimate driving experience. It has a refined 300Tdi 2.5-liter 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine with 146k miles, it runs and drives beautifully and offers a very charming driving experience. For reliability in the harshest conditions, there's simply nothing that can beat the 300Tdi engine, with its turbocharged direct injection (Tdi) technology paired with the robust R380 5-speed manual gearbox, it provides improved economy with even greater power, torque, longevity and reliability. In 2022 this Defender benefited from undergoing a lovely refurbishment with thousands being spent on a full body respray, new interior and with all new wheels and tires. All complete with stacks of maintenance records and invoices showing excellent service history throughout many years of ownership, showing this Defender was well cared for and had no expense spared. It still has its original owner’s manual, jack and tool kit, all tucked nicely behind the driver seat. It’s a lovely Defender 90 with plenty of old school strength mixed with vintage style.
Inside the cabin it’s very clean and tidy, featuring two grey Exmoor Trim seats with a matching middle seat, Land Rover matting and a sturdy headliner for some original style. The rear cargo area has a pair of foldable bench seats with lap belts making it a full 7-seater. Exterior upgrades that are both aesthetically and functionally appealing are the addition of a Safari snorkel, chequer plate protection, foldable side steps, rear mud flaps and BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires mounted to Wolf steel wheels, to fully complete the authentic and iconic styling. All lights, heater, wipers, and radio work, as they should. Equipped with power steering and disc brakes all round reminds you that go-anywhere also means being easy to drive and more importantly enjoyable when you're sat behind the wheel. This classic Defender has timeless appeal, so you get the traditional robustness with some of the best classic style. Overall, this is one genuine and quintessential British Defender, ready to hit the roads, trails, safaris, beaches or wherever your next adventures may take you.
