The 1998 Pacific Typhoon Season. Wasn't too active in terms of named storms, but was still destructive and deadly. There was Typhoon Todd, which became a super typhoon; Zeb, which would slam into northern Luzon causing mass destruction; Babs, which finished off the damage in Luzon; and Dawn, a deadly tropical storm in Vietnam. Am I the only one noticing that the statistics for 07W say 110mph 994mb?

There is no way 872 mbar is an underestimate. in fact, it might be even lower. That pressure was never recorded at landfall, it is estimated based off the eye temperature and internal structure.
