I remember when I was younger, around 11 my mother being alive at the time before I lost her to cancer, I remember we went to the car lot and she test drove that '98 Grand Prix GT in that exact same color, you could hear the engine growl as she had accelerated. No doubt in my mind the V6 engine was pretty powerful for a sedan at that time.

I love how Kyle goes from reviewing a Ferrari 458 Italia, to a brand new Lamborghini Aventador to a Aston Martin Vantage, all the way down to something as common and plain as a Pontiac Grand Prix! This dude would review anything! And that's why Kyle's the only car salesman I like and respect.

I've been in several of these cars through the years and one thing I hated was the interior. GM used the worst kind of plastics inside. One way you can tell how well kept this car was is how all of the buttons are not worn, the cheap paint likes to rub off on them.

Once again, it's good that you mention the MSRP of the car and discuss the trim levels and where they fit onto the car, and the reliability of the engine. It really sets your vids apart from whenever you look the newer cars at the dealership. You should incorporate this. I love the throaty tone of the 3800, but try out the old 3.1 (not the 3100) and 3.4L DOHC V6 on a Z24. Throaty exhaust. But best of the best GM engine ever built back in the day. That's why I drive my Oldsmobile

Pontiac often had cool exterior styling. I don't think I can say the same about their interiors though.I guess the nicer interiors were saved for more premium divisions? However, this car's isn't bad, at all. Nicer than the last model they ever made

Very nice car! My dad had one of the GTP's, a '97 purple one that was one of the nicest cars that my family has owned. Fast but practical and comfortable. It was to become mine, but it was sold due to the economy. Almost bought a 2000 GTP in black, but the owner backed out. Now I drive a 1994 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. Not a bad trade off!

I have an 01 GP GT for six months and have had lots of problems. I replaced the transmission, catalytic converter and the transmission line just blew out causing fluid to splash everywhere. I also completed an entire tuneup. It runs like a top now, but damn what a money pit. Maybe it's just mine though. A lemon.

These cars in the GT trim look so much better than the GTP with all that ridiculous body cladding. It's too bad they didn't offer the 3800SC as a standalone option across the model range. This one is in very good shape cosmetically, usually when you see these nowadays they're totally clapped out. I'd love to see saabkyle04 do one of the ASC/McLaren Turbo Grand Prix's!

I have almost the exact same car (I don't have the leather, but I do have the automatic dual-zone climate and a CD player) and it's been great. Even after I had to have the frame stretched back into shape it's been flawless. Unfortunately it recently lost a fight with a deer and I don't have the money to fix it. If I can find another one I'll buy it in a heartbeat

North Carolina and every state south of it seems like a great state for a car to spend its life in; a lot of the used cars on Kyle's channel are in great condition like this due to them not being vulnerable to rust like they would be in the north or midwest. and after seeing some of those repos they had a while back, I'd be shocked if this was one lol! This had to have been garaged though. Even in warmer climates like down south mother nature can do some bad things like hail.
