I remember when I was younger, around 11 my mother being alive at the time before I lost her to cancer, I remember we went to the car lot and she test drove that '98 Grand Prix GT in that exact same color, you could hear the engine growl as she had accelerated. No doubt in my mind the V6 engine was pretty powerful for a sedan at that time.

I've been in several of these cars through the years and one thing I hated was the interior. GM used the worst kind of plastics inside. One way you can tell how well kept this car was is how all of the buttons are not worn, the cheap paint likes to rub off on them.

Once again, it's good that you mention the MSRP of the car and discuss the trim levels and where they fit onto the car, and the reliability of the engine. It really sets your vids apart from whenever you look the newer cars at the dealership. You should incorporate this. I love the throaty tone of the 3800, but try out the old 3.1 (not the 3100) and 3.4L DOHC V6 on a Z24. Throaty exhaust. But best of the best GM engine ever built back in the day. That's why I drive my Oldsmobile

Pontiac often had cool exterior styling. I don't think I can say the same about their interiors though.I guess the nicer interiors were saved for more premium divisions? However, this car's isn't bad, at all. Nicer than the last model they ever made

These cars in the GT trim look so much better than the GTP with all that ridiculous body cladding. It's too bad they didn't offer the 3800SC as a standalone option across the model range. North Carolina and every state south of it seems like a great state for a car to spend its life in; a lot of the used cars on Kyle's channel are in great condition like this due to them not being vulnerable to rust like they would be in the north or midwest. and after seeing some of those repos they had a while back, I'd be shocked if this was one lol! This had to have been garaged though. Even in warmer climates like down south mother nature can do some bad things like hail.
