It looks great man. Your daughter is lucky to have such a nice and comfortable car. I have the same exact make, model and year, but mine is white - I love it. I bought it at around 100k miles 10 years ago - it's over 200k now and still running like new. I do my own maintenance on it so it's well taken care of. I did timing belt and water pump job on it recently. Hoping to hit 300k before I even think about upgrading.

This car looks absolutely amazing especially for a 98 it really looks good I mean there is always going to be a few little imperfections in an older car like that but it really looks great overall I would not hesitate to drive it I'd love to have you come paint my 2004 Avalon actually! You stayed true to the original personality of the car I love my Avalon's so I think you did a great job!! High hopes that she enjoys the car

I liked it. As a former car painter It was refreshing to see someone take on the challenge and art of automotive painting. I always focused/worried about all the steps required in the complete paint job. Sometimes I skipped a step and add work to myself but we live n learn. The good thing is, if you do mess up, sand it off and retry, the bad, it will have an added expense in materials/supplies.

Just bought a white 97 avalon and yours is an inspiration to get mine looking nice again. I don't know a whole lot about auto painting but I have heard that black is the hardest color because it always shows every little mess up. I took auto body in high school and the "final exam" was to paint a black car lol. If you're determined on having the car black, you're probably gonna at least need to paint it inside somehow or maybe pay a pro.

we have ours since 99 and passed it down to my brother. great engine and transmission but the car is falling apart bit by bit. all the interior door handles broke, the headliner is falling apart as same with the sun visors, driver side molding keeps falling off and that drivers side window regulator keeps breaking. we are currently on the forth regulator let see how long it last.

Did not have flickering light problem. Just replaced them because they were old. And one was broken from a minor accident.

I got a 2002 Avy, got a video of it on my ch. I would do it, Im outta work and I used to paint custom lowriders back in the day. Yes. My kids is still going to. And she does not do PMCS . Always after her to ck. Oil. Trans. She called up and says is transmission fluid suppose to be black . When she was in california. Like 5 years ago. Well its still going. And yes i screamed. Get that fluid changed now. But it runs fine. And never has had amy repair work on trans. I just do not know what to say. But these cars are so tuff. Another tome. I am not kidding. She is visit. So I change oil. I always put new filter on wet. I take off old filter and it was empty. Bone dry. The system was plugged up. So oil was by passing filter. . Fixed that. And car does not smoke. It seems impossible to me. I wish I had bought one new back in the day? Better yet bought 2. Take care . And don't forget PMCS.
