that's exactly what I needed to know for my 2003 Odyssey with snapped cable. Thanks a lot to your 6 yrs old tutorial. One big question: how exact cable lenghth has to be to begin threading in? Does new one has to be very close to original length which I don't know. If you or anybody know how cable length has to be, please let me know.

I used 2 bike brake cables (81" and 72") + Dorman 03336. They work well.

Not sure. It is specifically for the U.S. market models, but may work for some others.
