Oh man, I miss Vanessa Atler, Elena Produnova and Victoria Karpenko. Especially Vanessa Atler.

25:37 I never noticed the creepy dead-eyed smile Karpenko is serving. It's almost like she is telling the camera she's content with Vanessa's fall and now she will win.

Is it just me, or did the uneven bars look very shaky, especially when Liu was performing? Oh, and Wilson's score seemed legit. I don't know why Tim was complaining - he did land quite low and took a big hop back.

Yeah. When Tim said he was surprised at the score, I first thought it was higher than he expected. Blaine's ass literally touched the ground..

If Vanessa didn't fall she would've had a ginormous lead over Thompson and Karpenko, even if Prudunova hadn't stumbled on floor

@chrislindsey14 Blaine kinda was a douche bag. He changed his persona big time after the 1996 Olympics. He even started an unecessary feud with fellow gymnast, Jason Gatson, around this time because he was was always ranking on his tail in competitions. He's the only reason I didn't care if the men's team from my country (USA) medaled or not whenever he competed. Paul Hamm, Raj Bhavsar, and Jason Gatson, however, were a breath of fresh air because they had humble attitudes.

Jesus...they were really trying to make Jennie Thompson lose. Jennie had a perfect beam routine with variety and more difficulty than needed. She's not my favorite gymnast, she lacks natural line and extension, but there really weren't deductions.. She had some form on the tuck full, and the double back landing. How could Karpenko get the same score as Thompson with 4 visible errors including a very near fall? Floor is more of the same. Great routine, not super graceful or expressive, but no mistakes. I had her at a 9.70 on beam and 9.60 on floor.

I respectfully disagree about Blain Wilson. Although I didnt like all of his decisions like he should have prepared a more diffucult vault in sidney. However, I loved the friendly and respectful rivalry that he had with John Rothesberger. I was at the American Cup in 2004 where he tore his bicept and made it back for Athens. In 2008 he took himself out of trials saying this is not about me, it is about theses guys trying to make the team.
