We are picking 1 up now. Has a new roof previous owner had installed almost 2 years ago... to the tune of almost, get ready, brace yourself, ok, just have a seat- ALMOST $20K! GLAD he took that hit cuz we are paying less for the unit itself. Has a whisper-quiet propane geny that runs on the onboard tank(think it's 100 lbs)- those diesel geny's are nice- just noisier. Newmar makes a nice coach! BTW, the one we got has the FL chassis and 300HP 8.1L(I think- maybe 8.3, but it is 8.something LOL) 800+ lbs torque. If you get the Cummins, make sure it is the ISC if you plan on mucho mountainous traveling, the ISB(5.9L, 6.7L) is short on torque at about 600lbs vs. 950lbs of the ISC! BIG difference, BUT, if you are generally flat landing with a little or no toad out back, you will reap some reward on the fuel side, getting probably 1.5-2 mpg the CAT or ISC. Good luck and happy RVing!

i just purchased a 99 dutch star and the restorer redid new rubber roof 20year guaranty, and the whole ceiling in knotty pine and the whole floor front 2 rear in wood like flooring, new backsplashes and vents, etc he said it was like $25k in work, it also has alot more options than this one and 78k on it - in a month i should start shooting videos of it in a beautiful pond setting that im moving it to when i pick it up from dealer , click my icon pic to see it and my other custom builds! :)

Just got a 99 DS 38 on a Freightliner frame- Previous Owner did a NEW roof cap in 2019... cost a few K more than my damn house roof did- pushing $20K- yes, twenty-thousand US dollars! Utterly insane- we payed less for the big Cat-powered pig, and everything works with exception of the dash a/c, which needs a compressor(probably more, but who cares!)

i just bought the same but all customized wood ceiling and floors, tile work, these are great quality but you wouldnt think so seeing this one here that needs serious and expensive extensive work- no BS! just the truth i own one- 20 years does have its way on even a prevost -just saying and their still like $350k after 20 :)
