For my Birthday, I was gifted a selection of classic drives via DriveDadsCar.com website. This car was chosen by my Mother, likely as some form of punishment for my behaviour as a child.
Well firstly, my younger Son wouldn't ride in it. This was mainly down to having watched that classic Top Gear where Clarkson drives around rolling the 3-wheeler at every given turn. "I don't want to go in it, Daddy. We'll crash!".
However my older Son was desperate to go in it (and actually wanted us to crash!), so we were three-up in the three wheeler. Wow, it's basic inside! The steering position is odd, with the column very horizontal and the wheel brushing the top of my legs. To drive it was actually okay; you had to be very mindful of keeping the speeds down when cornering, plus your natural instinct to avoid bumps by placing them under the centre of the car mean't the front wheel constantly crashing into them, further exacerbated by the poor ride quality. But the engine was responsive and the gearbox was a delight; very positive to engage each gear and a joy to use.
So not as horrendous as expected, although I couldn't imagine doing any sort of long journeys in one!
