@@Jerharris90 ya you really don't understand copyright. First off copyright is automatic as soon as you create it it is your. Second this story literally was already stripped off KZbin from the half a dozen channels that had it up. He copyrighted all of them because the person who gave permission on the creepypasta site was not the original creator.

@@Carmen_Sandiego7 If I remember correctly, the Soup and Spoon is one of the four shows that was broadcasted on Caledon Local 21, which shows a can of soup and a spoon attached on the string in front of the camera and was shot at the basement, which is the same basement that Mr. Bear's Cellar show took place. The narrator thought the show was stupid, until towards the end where it shows seven kids sat at the table with each bowl of soup placed in front of them, looking at the camera with confusion and fright, and the cameraman said "Spooooons ready?"

@@Carmen_Sandiego7 The kids who appeared in the _Soup and Spoon_ show are actually the victims that were lured by Mr. Bear himself and I don't want to spit out the spoilers about their fate as what happened to them makes the narrator, Elliot, left traumatized. I remember that, I imagined the movie/tv special of it where it was like a camcorder tape of a can of soup and a spoon having antics then a crude jump cut of the kids at the table and from the camera perspective a hand holds the soup up and asks “Spoons ready?” I imagined the show looking funny in a home made way but unsettling at the same time, which made me love this story.

Imagine being the dad in that scenario. Like, your kid has been talking about some TV show that you think is just an off-brand Barney because why would you suspect anything? so you let him send mail in and then take him to that house only to find a cop. You would feel so terrified and ashamed that you could’ve put your kid in danger. I think that’s some of the real terror in this one.

They say not to live in the past, but it is very hard sometimes. I miss the late nineties and early 2000s so much. Today nearly everyone I knew from back then is dead, one is facing a life sentence. Sometimes I sit and wonder why was I allowed to make it out of so many life threatening situations nearly unscathed. I died several times, but I came back to life every single time. I wasted pretty much all of my youth in a drug induced haze of madness. But today I can proudly say that I am a few months away from finally completing my goal of obtaining a college degree with honors. It is only an Associate's Degree, but I am still very proud of myself. I feel like I am finally making up for lost time. I am finally making my family proud after embarrassing them and consistently failing in life. Anything is possible, never give up.

Dr. Creepen, I love your work, but this reading may be the best thing you've done for me and my best friend. This was one of the stories we'd theory craft and scare ourselves into the night discussing in middle school. A few years ago we went back to it only to find that the "Booby" segments and any mentions of the character were completely missing. We couldn't find mention of it through a surface level search and thought we were both crazy, despite having a mutual recollection. Only a month or two ago did we finally find out thaf at some point there had been a revision that fully scrubbed Booby, for what reason we still aren't sure. I seriously must extend a heartfelt thank you for narrating the original cut of this tale. Booby's strange name and style served as an offputting introduction into the channel this story recounts and it really doesn't flow nearly as well without its presence.

I think that he did. My theory is that “Wilson”, the cop dude who answered the door of the house when the kid and his dad came by, was also Mr Bear and all the other lovable television characters he brought to life (😟). That’s why Mr Bear was telling him that he wanted to talk to him when he came back those times. And, it’s also why the guy said that he wanted to visit Wilson again and never posted another update. He must have met Mr Bear face to face again. I admit I was expecting Wilson to stutter or something and was A LITTLE disappointed that he didn’t reveal himself. But, then again, the subtle ambiguity of the ending is nice too

1999, 303rd prime. Powerful and important gateway / reality warping number. The Matrix was released in 1999 (Trinity starts in room 303, Neo's room number is 101, he leaves through 303 at the end), ExistenZ was released. Interesting to think about, now far in retrospect. I thought Cube was also released in 1999, but it was actually '97. Same as End of Evangelion and a few others involved in reality, reality warping, death and rebirth, and so on.

This numerology stuff is dangerous, completely ruined my mom’s ability to tell what’s real and what’s not and has sent her down a conspiracy theory rabbithole. Hate that stuff.

@@WASDLeftClick 101 also spells lol "laughing out loud" ..... But seriously, I think your mother wad just mentally at risk for schizophrenic levels of conspiracies and numbers... A logical person would be impressed at the logic with the numbers.... But then again be thinking about how easy it can be to bend numbers to what you want them to become. Check about Terry Davis. You'd be surprised at how schizophrenia can hit. Bright minds are not immune.

I'm pretty sure this story actually ripped some ideas from Alantutorial by Alan Resnick. One of the episodes sounds just like one from that channel. Plus Boobi is just Oobi lol. But I like the idea of a corrupt bootleg version of it so I never really paid it any mind. Either way this story is a classic. Thanks for reading it!

I remember this from when I was like 10. I tried finding a few years ago and I couldn’t, so I just decided it was something that I made up because it was so similar to some FNaF stuff (I was one of those kids.)
