I have done this before on my 850 and my s70 (and a few other cars) - but i checked this clip to see how much it differs on a few years newer Volvo - i.e. the v70 that i currently own. This is an great video - and Sue is Awesome! 🥰 👍 I have owned about 28 cars under my 47 years lifetime, and i have done all repairs on them myself. But after seeing this clip - i wouldn't hesitate to let Sue do any repair on any of my vehicles. She is very skilled, no doubt. And great to watch. AND - she has a sense of humour! 🙂 I wish i lived in The States instead of Sweden... of many reasons.

This is as good as it gets, you saved me a ton of time and broken trim clips! My 6 speed 2004 manual has 1 extra screw holding down the console and you didn't say that I would need a vacuum cleaner to remove half the kindergardens sandpit when I lifted the seats, otherwise perfect!!! Thank you!

Five Star video, explanation, clarity and skill. Absolutely bizarre how good it is!!?? All cause I just saw an 2005 Volvo xc70 2.5T Wagon 4D for sale near me with a 'loose emergency brake cable' mention description.

My facelift 2005 V70 has a problem with the right e-brake that it doesn't hold enough compared the left side. This video gave me the image of the function and the parts. It really looks like it is the cable. Gotta check that out if the cable moves normally and how does it look like next to the brakes! Cheers from Finland!

I have a Volvo xc70 2006 model and I repair my car.I Have a main rule which I always keep - Never use extra force and don't break or damage anything, during repair. Also I always think that Swedish engineers never can fit the car parts by manner ,which will be difficult for them or for the person who repairs the car. What I mean is my opinion for this video, who try to show You how to do repair of parking brake cables. At first look it is good , but it is away of my rule above: 1.From 3.5 minutes You can see how this technician broke the holder of the cable connector (the black one ) when she tried to disconnect it. From 35.30 she tried to mount this cable connector back but she used another connector holder which was not broken. The plastic back plate has 4 connector holders- 3 are empty and the first one-who she broke is number 4. According to my rule I spent a lot of time thinking and found out that these ways are wrong and very difficult to be correct. No one can mount this connector on this place -on this way. The only way is by removing the whole back plate with the mounted connector, which is mounted behind the plate. Yes it is possible and take 10 seconds. You don't need to broke holder and also You can mount it back easy for 10 seconds The reason is that the whole black plate is in place by 2 flat houks -very close to top end of plate.Need to be lift each one by small flat screwdriver and to pull aut the plate. She comes out with the whole connector attached to the plate. Then You can easy to disconnect the both halfs-without to broke the holder. When finished, reconnect the cable connector, mount it to the plate and mount the plate to the center console. No hasle,no broken fingers.

Awesome. very detailed , focused and no nonsense, I have a 04 xc 70 , will need to de this soon. Thank You and KUDO 's to the tech I wish I could follow her around for a few days or even weeks, just to observe and learn. This is from an owner of an auto sales and service business for over twenty years. I have a priybar I use with a covering of a foam type pipe insulating I use against painted surfaces incase i slip to not mar painted surface. This very well done from start to finish. I am going to search out videos with the same tech for added knowledge.

You don't have to lift all the things inside.. Wrap weldinging wire through the brake cable and pull the brake cable out from the bottom. Then wrap the welding wire into the new cable and pull it back through quicker too

I've got a question. Is my car really messed up or is it normal? So, when I disconnect the A/C unit, the thing with which you regulate temperature of the interior. Interior lights, exterior lights , and turn signals stop working. Also power windows don't work. In my opinion A/C has nothing to do with all of those things
