Brilliant! Thanks for posting this and the whole show, Natasha. I've been missing my Davy fix lately. I took a few guitar lessons from Davy during lockdown (which were fantastic) but he never taught me to play like this! :) Love the 'Alchemy' licks and love the close ups of the fretboard - will be spending some time with this vid on pause/repeat. Nice! I spent so long learning the 2 solos, how tha fook do you remember all the fills? lol, one of my first practice versions is on my channel iirc if you click my name fair few mistakes in mine mind 🤣

I decided to try and flatpick the whole thing, pretty much there now but its taken me a looooong time, i struggle to remember the fills though

I remembered all the fills because I sang them as a melody along with the actual lyrics, I just had to remember to step away from the mic because sometimes I'd hum along as I'd played the fills haha. Singing your lead lines is quite helpful especially when they aren't overly complicated like Dire Straits.

@@zennydoo cool thanks for the reply mate! Cool way of remembering them! I learned the solos and the rhythm but when I realised how many fills there are I was like "I'm never going to remember all these" and i didnt lol
