All of the living guitar gods know and praise his abilities and he is popular af with the blues fam just like SRV was. You can't help but respect a guy who stays true to his art and doesn't sell out to the pop machine. Im sure he could be making bank as a studio hit man and touring with whatever new fresh piece of ass that is getting financial backing and passed around LA and Nashville but he doesn't seem to play that game. IMHO

Almost didn’t recognize him with his haircut short now, but there’s NO MISTAKE that it’s PHILLIP … Having had the rare opportunity to see him play live about 5 years ago at the Julian Blues Festival here in So Cal ( up in mountains outside of San Diego), he plays everything like his life depends on it … and even now in this one 5 years later.
