My enquiry to the One By One technical dept yielded a denial that these units have any memory if the power is removed. This means the pairing facility must be invoked over again. However, they do do have some memory function. Perhaps it is just temporary (a capacitor charge)....?? The only other thing to say is that they do not always alarm for close sequential trips of the sender. You might need to wait for a minute or two before it will alarm again from the same sender. In all other respects this is a nice product whose features are good but slightly tricky to grasp and then set up. BTW this is an excellent video. Thanks.

hmm, wonder if the pir sensor would still be in range inside the back of my van to my bedroom about 10 meters away, the van alarm would go off but it would be extra backup if i had an alarm in my bedroom.. for £14 on ebay i think it would be worth a try.. id connect the van sensor to the van battery using a dc to dc converter and the indoor unit could be powered by a wall type power supply

I bought one of these they are junk I returned mine teh day if was delivered by Amazon....It would not work 1 foot from the receiver let alone the 26 feet it is advertised as.

very sorry I bought this product. It requires constant rematching of the sensors { sometimes everyday} the range and sensitivity are fine but they are not set and forget. Many false alarms from wind movement of trees, plants and birds flying low. Yes they do work but you need to constantly keep checking the pairing for peace of mind.

I just bought one. I had it outside in the driveway for about an hour. It didn't sense my coworker when he walked by. Is this what you mean when you said it needs constant repairing with the receiver?

Nope! Splash-proof only. Wet air will contaminate internal parts. You could try lacquering the PCB ... but no NOT waterproof.

Terribly cheap. These will get triggered by shadows moving on sunny days. Had one receiver just stop working and another fall from a short height and not work anymore.
