A review of my 2016 CFMOTO CFORCE 500 HO.
Pros:
Included features like a winch, alloy wheels, hand protectors, two up seating and a trailer wiring harness. There is a great user forum out there for CFMOTO owners. www.cfmoto-forum.com
Cons:
Sits too low, exhaust blows downward and kicks up dust, OIl cover panel is fragile and breaks, fit and finish not as polished like the main stream brands, (the selling dealer pointed this out to me) lack of accessories available for this ATV.
Concerns:
While CFMOTO is an up and coming company in other parts of the world it isn't quite ready in the United States although they have improved since I first bought this one in April of last year.
If you happen to get a 2016 of this model make sure the throttle is smooth up and down the RPM range. Mine would drop off abruptly below 4000 RPM. Check for oil in the air filter box and I had a hot start issue with mine. Also the oil filter cover broke on mine. The dealer did it servicing it. There is a new design in the works.
Again I am a fussy individual. I drove the dealer and company nuts. If I keep it I do not know what the future will bring but I have bought six ATVs in the recent past and did not have any issues with those ATVs

Great review, thanks! I’ve just put a deposit down on the UK version, which is called a Quadzilla CForce 550. Quadzilla is basically the UK importer for CF Moto, so it’s just under a different name. The bike is second hand so hopefully any issues will have been ironed out.

I can't recommend this or any other quad. Do your research before you buy.

I am glad to be rid of it. I traded for a Polaris mid size Ranger and that is in the shop now with a transmission noise issue. I can't win...

If you're 'doing big mud'....these tires won't suffice...good for general riding though....all ATV's come with "wanting tires" for extreme riding.

These things would probly make me mad as hell. I knew the Chinese havnt gotten it together. Thanks for the info . Maybe nissian will produce an atv someday, I'm goin with an older Suzuki , plenty of used parts avail.

I traded the machine for a 2016 Polaris Midsize Ranger. After having issues with the bike under warranty I was uncertain what lied ahead. Cfmoto did their best and succeeded to fix the problems during the first year but my warranty was about to run out.

@@DirtySanchez317 Yes, there are some Sportsman models that were nightmares. I have an old 500 HO, two 570s and an ETX Sportsman that have worked out well for me. Honestly I should have bought the 800? or 850? CFMOTO. I guess that was a good unit from what I had heard.

I considered buying one of these, I decided to pay a little more money and went with an Arctic Cat TRV.

On the way to the dealer I bought this from I talked to an Arctic Cat salesman that had some carry overs and considered going this way but with a lot of research at the time and a service manager in Belle Fourche SD when I had troubles with my old Sportsman 500 HO in high altitudes and talking with a very convincing head of service of CFMOTO in Plymouth MN I opted for the CFORCE 500 HO. I am sure in order to compete against the CanAms, Hondas, Yamahas and Arctic Cats they will have to improve their product and hopefully the selling dealers beside manner. I have all Polaris rigs now because I can afford them. That is the lowest form of ATV/UTV I will buy. I had my 16 Ranger 570 to the dealer to replace most of the front drive part inside the transmission. It scared me so bad I decided to by the five year warranty. One thing I will say about Polaris though is they did not ask any questions. They replaced what was needed at zero cost to me.

In all fairness to CFMOTO the repairs were done no cost to me under warranty. The company man even drove out to the repairing dealer to perform the fix to the drivability issue they tried to convince me that was normal but complaints were coming in all over the world about it. I am glad I traded it and I am sure they are even happier to get rid of me.

From what i've heard about you say, on everything that was wrong they figured it out and fixed it. Polaris and all the other brands going to go out of their way to do that. I've heard horrible stories about other one two. It's like buying a car or truck they have issues. Just my opinion. Hope you find the one that you like. Have a great day.

Ahh....all ATV's come short in one thing or another. One must "mix and match OEM parts with high performance; based on one's riding and expectations. Period....unless you're "just driving up and down a two mile trail".

Its a shame, because its a nice looking machine. Just a little more engineering, and better customer service, and they would have the market cornered.

JimsEquipmentShed Like my other units, this dealer would never see me except for oil, filters and a few things that I actually broke. I want a good relationship like this. I felt warm and fuzzy when I bought it. it didn't take long for the honeymoon to be over.
