I saw him say this in a comment reply to someone else, but I would HIGHLY recommend buying a new pump and not a remanufactured one. I have redone mine twice now. Both times the remanufactured pump has failed and had to be warrantied. Spend the extra money, it's worth it on this one. My last pump was crap and I really started to notice it a week after I replaced it. Bummer. 3rd times the charm, I hope. The procedure he lays out here is great. Thanks for the video.

Reman is almost never the way to go when a new-new part is available. The Motorcraft units are all remans.

Ok so I have a question power steering has been leaking etc and then just tonight my pulley came off my pump any idea why the pulley would just come off did the pump shaft get messed up or did the pulley fail?

How does that Teflon seal go in there cuz it doesn't fit over the threads it doesn't fit inside the threads

Great vid; pretty much everything needed and the visuals are good. Man, I hate needed to use a pulley puller! Have you repaired the hydraulic cooler? it looks like the lower line runs to it. If anyone has seen a vid on this repair, please drop a link in a reply :-)

That is what i am trying to research. My truck turns smoothly however there is a whining noise while stepping on the brake and a slight kickback. Not sure what the fix is or if this is normal, not too much information anywhere online. Hydroboost might be a bit more expensive than the p/s pump.

Not unless you have air in your brake lines.

I didn't, and yes, it uses transmission fluid.
